LSU Health Shreveport welcomes your application for the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Department of Information Technology (IT) in Shreveport, Louisiana. The CIO, is an innovative and dynamic member of the LSU Health Shreveport leadership team, reporting directly to the LSUHSC-New Orleans Assistant Vice Chancellor for Information Technology/CIO and indirectly to the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance in Shreveport. The selected candidate will interact with all tiers of leadership of the LSU Health Sciences Center.
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) exemplifies exceptional leadership, continues the pursuit of clinical and academic excellence, and fosters interdisciplinary management, providing technological vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the information technology (IT) programs at LSU Health Sciences Center – Shreveport (LSUHSC-S). The CIO will lead the institution in planning and implementing enterprise information systems to support the goals of the organization.
The exceptional candidate is a strong analytical problem solver with a deep process focus, an excellent communicator of oral, written and verbal skills, and one who possesses outstanding interpersonal skills. Candidates who demonstrate prior financial management experience developing and managing operational and capital budgets, vendor proposals, contracts and product acquisitions, in addition to the following qualifications, will be considered.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of ten years demonstrated experience with a history of increasing responsibilities in a senior level position responsible for management of organizational information systems and information technology operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an academic or healthcare setting
- Significant experience in information systems strategic planning integration and deployment in an organizational setting of healthcare or higher education.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), and/or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
The salary for this position is commensurate based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills and education.
