Billing and Inventory Manager (#00416)
Information Technology Services (ITS) at Old Dominion University is seeking a full-time Billing and Inventory Manager to provide application and services administration and support for the University’s Communications billing application. This position will manage vendor charges, department billing, and related inventory as well as provide support and technical leadership for various communications systems.
Required qualifications include:
- Working knowledge of customer billing processes, practices and procedures.
- Working knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures for enterprise system and application administration to include application-based databases and report generation.
- Working knowledge of practices and procedures for telecom services and inventory purchasing and contract management.
- Working knowledge of inventory management, supply chain, logistics and bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of structured cabling systems and inventory.
- Working knowledge of communications systems concepts, topologies, and protocols.
- Highly organized with a high level of attention to details in order to maintain accurate and organized records and documents.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage time in order to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with vendors and co-workers.
Additional considerations include:
- Considerable knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: customer billing processes, practices, and procedures; inventory management, supply chain, logistics, and bookkeeping; practices and procedures for telecom services and inventory purchasing and contract management.
- Working experience with conducting inventory audits, physically counting and reconciling inventory levels to ensure that the inventory records are accurate.
- Working experience working with structured cabling systems and the associated inventory.
- Working experience working with telecom vendors and systems, such as, data circuits and networking, voice systems and cellular services.
