Bank IT Support Technician
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The role of the IT Support Technician is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT function is in alignment with the bank’s objectives and strategic plan. The IT Support Technician will assist in the maintenance, planning, coordinating, and designing IT-related activities of the bank, as well as provide support for daily IT related operational activities of the bank. The IT Support Technician will work closely with the Data Processing department staff as well as outside consultants and internal IT compliance and risk management staff to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost- effective and innovative hardware and software technology solutions for all aspects of the bank.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures of the bank’s core processing and related technology.
- Serve as the bank’s Information Security Officer (ISO) to administer/oversee all IT and Cyber Security related activities.
- Responsible for the daily transmission of all needed data to the core processor and related entities.
- Asist in the regular operations of all bank related IT hardware and software to ensure efficient and effective technology program.
- Serve as administrator for assigned applications and programs.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing the system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify possible intrusions.
- Responsible for overseeing the IT Business Continuity Plan regarding minimal business downtime, especially during outages/disasters.
- Operates and monitors computer systems and related equipment including; mainframes, servers, networks and other peripheral devices.
- Ensure all processes are followed related to the creation of incident tickets, documentation of issues, problem/issue resolutions and follow-up related to root cause analysis.
- Maintain a sound relationship between the IT department and our vendors. Evaluate items and services the company is using while researching and evaluating additional options.
- Research and recommend information security/information assurance policies and practices.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, providing an environment of open and authentic communication.
- Represent and promote the Company within the community through participation in bank sponsored events, philanthropic opportunities and civic events.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department and will be responsible for providing input to supervisors in the performance reviews of other bank employees from a technical perspective.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional in person office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and some “on call” activities may be required
in some situations. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day if needed between bank locations, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- College Degree Preferred in IT related field or Equivalent Work Experience
- Current Knowledge of IT Operating Systems
- 1-3 Years IT related experience
- Valid Driver’s License
